“Set your hope on the grace to be brought to you”- gird your loins
Sober minded- a mind that is unimpaired by physical, spiritual, or emotional impulses
• We will see in v.17-19 Peter’s prescription for sober mindedness. Eternal perspective. Look past the troubles of today and the anxieties of tomorrow.
• Remember who you are and what God has in store for you
v.14-15-
“Be holy”, identity informs behavior (declared holy, live holy)
Positional holiness
• Sum up the sins of v.9-10 before reading 1 Corinthians 6:11
• See 1 Peter 1:19 and v.21
Practical holiness
• Leviticus 11:44-45 (OT), Romans 12:1 (NT)
• Sanctification
• This process requires the work of the Holy Spirit AND our cooperation

Who? Moms in all stages of motherhood!
What? A group of moms gathering regularly to find support and encouragement as they grow in relationship with each other and with Jesus.
Why? Motherhood is hard, but it doesn't have to be lonely! We are committed to making sure every mom knows that she is not alone!
When? September - May, 1st & 3rd Wednesdays, 9-11am

Mentor Mom: experienced moms with older children mentoring younger moms
KidsCo Volunteer: care for and share the love of Jesus with our children while moms get the opportunity to meet together twice a month (biggest need!)
KidsCo Teen Volunteer: assist in caring for our children and gain valuable childcare experience
Other Services: share encouragement, special interests, or provide other services to our group
Pray: pray for moms to attend & grow in their relationship with Jesus and for enough volunteers
