What’s something you’ve changed your mind about over the years that you once felt pretty certain about?

Paul reminds us that following Jesus involves being “transformed by the renewing” of our minds. What stands out to you about that idea, and why do you think changing the way we think can lead to changing the way we live?

Change can be exciting, frustrating, or even uncomfortable. What’s one change you’ve experienced in your life that turned out to be a good thing, even if you didn’t enjoy the process at first?

One of the challenges of spiritual growth is being willing to admit that we might be wrong or that there is still something we need to learn. Why can that be so difficult, and what helps us become more willing to learn, change, and grow?

Take a moment to finish these two statements: “I used to be ______, but now I’m becoming ______.” What is one area where you can see God changing you to become more like Jesus?

What encouragement do you find in knowing that God is still at work in you and that your journey isn’t finished?

Closing Prayer
God, thank You that You love us exactly where we are, but You love us too much to leave us there. Help us to be humble enough to admit when we are wrong, courageous enough to embrace the process of change, and willing to surrender to the work You are doing in us. Renew our minds, shape our hearts, and help us become more and more like Jesus. Thank You that You are not finished with us yet. Help us trust You along the way. Amen.
