THE CHRIST
SCRIPTURE
Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word. Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ. And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did. Acts 8:4-6
WHO THE CHRIST IS
1/ The Christ is God.
In the Ancient Times, people created false images of God. In Modern Times, people don’t create false images of God, but false ideas of God.
We have to look no further than Scripture. This is where God tells us who He is!
2/ The Christ became human.
Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, He gave up His divine privileges. He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. Philippians 2:6-7
He came from a virgin.
All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through His prophet: “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel, which means ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:22-23

He came to identify with us.
It was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us. Hebrews 2:17
He understands our weaknesses, for He faced all of the same testings we do. Hebrews 4:15
3/ The Christ lived a sinless life in the midst of sinful people.
He loved sinful, sinning sinners.
“The children I raised and cared for have rebelled against Me.” Isaiah 1:2
The wages (consequences) of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
He lived without sin.
Jesus did not commit sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth. 1 Peter 2:22
…Jesus who had no sin… 2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in Him. 1 John 3:5
4/ The Christ died in the place of all humanity.
(Christ) offered Himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us. (And Christ) offered Himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. 2 Corinthians 5:21 & Hebrews 10:12

If Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless, and you are still guilty of your sins.
1 Corinthians 15:17

He will establish His Kingdom.
He will judge the living and the dead.
