Week 1
“Share Life. Share Christ.”
Week 1
“Share Life. Share Christ.”
The greatest need of the Church today is no longer better sermons.
“Loneliness is having no one to share your victories or your struggles with.”
“Gatebox”
Our vision is incredibly simple. Share Life. Share Christ.
1. INFORMATION IS EVERYWHERE BUT BIBLICAL COMMUNITY IS RARE
If information alone transformed people… shouldn’t this be the strongest generation of Christians in history?
Because information by itself doesn’t produce transformation.
Koinonia means. Koinonia means sharing life together.
It is the intentional sharing of our lives…our joys…our struggles…our victories…our failures…our resources…our time…our hearts.
Church, I believe the greatest opportunity before us today isn’t simply preaching better sermons. It’s rebuilding biblical community.
The early church wasn’t built around attending an event. It was built around belonging to a family.
2. GOD NEVER INTENDED YOU TO FOLLOW JESUS ALONE
When the writer says, “Don’t neglect meeting together,” he’s not talking about attending a weekly service. He’s talking about refusing to live an isolated Christian life.
If Satan can isolate you…he can discourage you. If he can isolate you…he can deceive you. If he can isolate you…he can tempt you. If he can isolate you…he can convince you that you’re the only one struggling.
God never intended you to fight your battles by yourself. He created the Church so we would fight together.
When we’re alone, our problems become bigger. Our fears become louder. Our temptations become stronger. Our perspective becomes distorted.
Spiritual growth doesn’t happen simply by listening to sermons. It happens when truth is lived out in relationship.
3. IT’S TIME TO ENTER THE CIRCLE
The question isn’t whether our faith will be tested. The question is whether we’ll be ready when it is.
Storms don’t create relationships. Storms reveal them.
We are not creating another ministry.
We are one Church…one Community…with one Calling. To share life together…so we can effectively share Christ with the world.
We’re not inventing something new. We’re recovering something ancient. We’re returning to the pattern that changed the world.
People don’t need a church service. They need a spiritual family.
4. THE THREE CIRCLES OF RELATIONSHIP
bullseye
Circle One: The Church Circle
Circle Two: The Community Circle
Circle Three: The CREW Circle
A CREW is a group of three or more people who intentionally commit to meeting together on a regular basis for the purpose of sharing life and experiencing biblical community.
“We need to do this more often.” But then life happens. Schedules fill up. Responsibilities take over. And those relationships get pushed aside.
The question isn’t: “Do I have a CREW?” The question is:“Am I investing in my CREW the way God intended?”
5. DON’T WAIT FOR THE STORM TO BUILD OUR CIRCLE
The problem is that many of us treat community as optional.
Deep relationships are built through consistency. They are built by showing up. They are built by opening your life to others.
God is calling us to move discipleship from simply receiving information…to experiencing transformation through relationship.
We believe the question isn’t: “How can we get people to attend one more thing?” The question is: “How can we help people become deeply connected disciples of Jesus?”
Here’s my challenge to every person here: Find your CREW. Enter the Circle. Make the commitment. Set your rhythm.
Because when the storm comes, you don’t build a shelter. You run to the shelter you already built.
Our calling. Not just to gather. But to belong.
This is who we are becoming. One Church. One Community. One Calling. To Share Life and to Share Christ.
