Imagine God thinking about you: What do you assume God feels when you come to mind?

Attachment Theory
Attachment theory explains how the bonds we form with our primary caregivers in infancy shapes our emotional lives as adults.

Secure Attachment: You are comfortable with intimacy, trust easily, and can communicate your needs without fear.

Anxious Attachment: You deeply crave closeness but constantly worry your partner will leave or doesn't love you as much as you love them.

Avoidant Attachment: You overly value your independence and may pull away when relationships get "too close." You prefer to handle problems on your own.

Disorganized (Fearful-Avoidant) Attachment: You want love but are terrified of getting hurt, leading to push-and-pull behavior.

Imagine God thinking about you: What do you assume God feels when you come to mind?
Disappointment and Anger

Secure attachment: This is someone who has come to believe at the core of their being that God loves them unconditionally.
“He is very fond of me.”

Anxious attachment: If we assume that God feels disappointment or anger towards us, we have a spiritually anxious attachment disorder. This anxiety stems from not believing in the core of your being that you are loved by God.

Avoidant attachment: We believe that God doesn't really care for us.
Jesus, teach me to trust that I am safe forever in your presence. Remove my fears and suspense. Recenter my scattered senses on your infinite kindness and love.
