I redefine what worship is as giving my full attention to God.

WORSHIP – Read one Psalm each day.

“Food is good. But God is better. Normally we meet God in his good gifts and turn every enjoyment into worship with thanksgiving. But from time to time, we need to test ourselves to see if we have begun to love his gifts in place of God.”

I think of fasting as creating space to hear from God instead of depriving myself from food.

FAST – Replace one meal this week and take that time to pray, read Scripture, journal, listen to worship music, etc.

I can if...
I think of prayer as simply talking to God and allowing silence to be a part of our conversation.

PRAY – Commit to pray every day, on your own and with others.

I can wait if...
I recognize that God’s direction matters more than my urgency.

WAIT – Spend unhurried time with God at the beginning of each day.

Where do we need to shift our rhythms, so we can create space to be more attentive to the Holy Spirit?
