“Human beings are God’s physical representatives on earth: living icons, statues of flesh standing in for the king, emissaries able to engage in the varieties of communicative action that characterize interpersonal covenantal relations.”

Key Theme:
Every member of Christ's body is necessary, and love is what gives every gift its true purpose and eternal value.
Key Application:
Stop measuring your value or the value of others by visibility, prestige, or gifting. Instead, faithfully embrace the role God has given you and use your gifts in genuine love to build up the body of Christ.
Key Verses:
1 Corinthians 13:13, “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
Key Questions:
1. Do you tend to undervalue your own contribution or overlook the contributions of others? Why do you think that happens?
2. Are you actively participating in the work God has called His church to, or have you become more of a spectator than a participant?
3. Can you think of an area where you are doing the right thing externally but struggling with the right heart internally?

Church family, we praise God for how faithfully in so many respects you give. Our church family is undeniably generous, but we still have great needs for supplication. We ask that you give joyfully, faithfully and sacrificially in response to how our great God and Savior has given to us.
