We engage the Lord through daily personal encounters by welcoming the Holy Spirit, asking the Lord to speak to us, praying the Lord's Prayer and listening for His response.

Reformation Overview:

You connect with God through reformation. One of the ways you connect with God is by partnering with Him to make the crooked ways straight. He has given you a burden for the same things that are on His heart. Your daily encounters are filled with prayer and petition for God’s restorative justice to be released in the earth and your daily encounters continue when you put your prayers into action.

As a reformer, you feel closest to God when you know what is on His heart. You find pleasure in pleasing Him. Your prayer is, “On earth as it is in Heaven!” You encounter God powerfully in bringing reformation, because it originated in God’s heart and you get the honor of partnering with Him on the earth.

Reformation is a byproduct of knowing God & having your heart turned toward Him. You bring reformation through your daily encounters because in these moments, the Lord is also reforming you.

Some Encouragement For Reformation:

You go against the grain of culture as a reformer. Remind yourself to walk in the fear of the Lord rather than the fear of man. Many of those who connect with God through reformation don’t fit in the world. God
has created you for such a time as this. Keep leaning into His heart.

As a son or daughter, remember it is your Father who does the heavy lifting in bringing reformation to the earth. You get to partner with the Ultimate Reformer, Jesus, in bringing heavenly justice and making the crooked ways straight. Lean into intimacy with God before going out in action. Partner your passion with God’s timing and His heavenly strategy.

- God invites you to partner with Him in bringing His Kingdom to the earth.

- The burdens God gives you are often invitations to participate in His purposes.

- Reformation begins in the heart before it is seen in the world.
You don't have to change everything—simply be faithful where God has placed you.

- Prayer and action work together as we partner with the Holy Spirit.
Every act of obedience becomes part of God's greater work of restoration.

- As God reforms the world around you, He is continually reforming you.

- Never underestimate what God can accomplish through one surrendered life.

- The greatest reformers are those who have first been transformed by the presence of God.

(1) Connect With God Through Reformation

Here are some practical ways that you can connect with God.

Ask God What Is on His Heart:
Begin your prayer time by asking:
"Lord, what is on Your heart today?"

Allow your prayers to move beyond your own needs and toward God's purposes.

Pray, "On Earth as It Is in Heaven"
Regularly pray Jesus' prayer:
"Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

Invite God's rule, peace, justice, and righteousness into every area of life.

Pray for Your Community:
Intercede for your city, schools, churches, businesses, government leaders, and families. Ask God to bring healing, revival, reconciliation, and restoration.

Turn Prayer into Action:
When God reveals a need, ask:
"Lord, how do You want me to respond?"

Be willing to become part of the answer to the prayers you are praying.

Carry a Burden with Compassion:
Allow your heart to be moved by the things that move God's heart.
- Pray for the lost.
- Stand for truth.
- Care for the vulnerable.
- Encourage the discouraged.
- Seek reconciliation where there is division.

Live as an Ambassador of Christ:
Wherever you go, intentionally represent Jesus through your words, attitudes, decisions, and actions.
Bring the culture of Heaven into every environment.

Pray Over Areas That Need Restoration:
Walk through your home, workplace, school, or neighborhood praying for God's peace, healing, and transformation.

Listen Before You Act:
Not every burden requires immediate action. Take time to seek God's wisdom and direction before stepping forward.

Examine Your Own Heart:
Ask the Holy Spirit:
"Lord, what are You reforming in me today?"

Allow His work in you to remain your first priority.

Celebrate Every Victory:
Reformation often happens one faithful step at a time. Celebrate every life touched, every relationship restored, and every opportunity to reflect Christ.

"Pray then like this: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."
Matthew 6:9-13

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name...

Begin praying by declaring,
“Father, you are HOLY!”

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven...

Pray for God's perfect will to be done in your life.
"God, not my will, but yours!"

Give us this day our daily bread...
Tell God what it is that you need. He is our Provider!

And forgive us our debts...
Repent. Lay down your sins before God and ask for forgiveness.

As we also have forgiven our debtors...
List by name those you need to forgive and ask God for help!

And lead us not into temptation...
Grace is a gift we all have access to. Open the gift and accept God's grace to overcome sin.

But deliver us from evil...
Declare, "No spirit but the Holy Spirit" is welcome in your life!

(6) Give God Room to Speak to You

"Speak Lord, Your servant is listening!"

(7) Ask Him to Teach You His Ways

Exodus 33:13b says, “If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.”

After He speaks to you, ask Him to teach you.

(1) Repeat what you heard God say out loud.
(2) Write down what He says and obey Him.

This is a way we steward God’s words!

(8) Close in Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for inviting me to partner with You in bringing Your Kingdom to the earth. Thank You for trusting me to carry Your heart into a world that desperately needs Your truth, Your love, Your justice, and Your hope. May my greatest desire always be to know what is on Your heart and to faithfully respond in obedience.

Lord, align my heart with Yours. Let the things that move You begin to move me. Give me compassion for the hurting, courage to stand for truth, wisdom to know when to speak, and humility to serve wherever You lead me. Teach me to pray with faith, believing that Your Kingdom can come and Your will can be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give me spiritual eyes to see, ears to hear, and a heart of understanding. Speak, Lord, Your servant is listening.Reveal the areas where You are calling me to bring restoration, healing, reconciliation, and hope. At the same time, continue Your transforming work within me. Reform my thoughts, my desires, my priorities, and my character until they reflect the heart of Jesus.

Lord, never allow me to become so focused on changing the world around me that I neglect the work You desire to do within me. Let every act of obedience flow from intimacy with You. May my life be a reflection of Your Kingdom, and may everything I do point others to Your presence and Your purpose.

Thank You for allowing me to partner with You in Your work of restoration. I gladly say yes to Your call.

A Wellspring Thought:

Reformation is more than seeing what is broken... It is seeing what God sees and joining Him in making it whole.

As we encounter His presence, He aligns our hearts with His, giving us a burden for His purposes and a passion for His Kingdom. The beautiful mystery of reformation is that while God is using us to bring restoration around us, He is continually bringing restoration within us.
