Mephibosheth's life so far consists of:
- His father Jonathan is dead
- His grandfather Saul is dead.
- His nurse drops him and he becomes disabled.
- He’s forced into hiding.
- He grows up in Lo-debar.

Many people aren’t living where God called them.
They’re living where life pushed them.

Tragedy can sink dreams.

The name Lo-debar means “no pasture,” “nothing,” or “pastureless,” and geograpically it was in the middle of nowhere.

Some people are still living in the emotional “Lo-debar” a land of nothing marked by:
- divorce
- abuse
- addiction
- disappointment
- failure
- unanswered prayer

Pain has a way of convincing us that tomorrow can only be a repeat of yesterday.

Tragedy doesn’t just wound our hearts.
It begins rewriting our expectations.

The enemy doesn't have to steal your future if he can convince you there isn't one.

Just because you've stopped dreaming doesn't mean God has stopped working.

Jesus knows exactly who we are and our Lo-debar.
- He knows where your addiction is.
- He knows where your anxiety is.
- He knows where your bitterness is.
- He knows where your shame is.

God's pursuit is greater than your hiding.
- Adam and Eve hid in the garden
- Jonah fled to Tarshish
- Elijah fled to wilderness and sat under a broom tree
- Hagar and her son were banished to the wilderness

When we start to understand the Father, we then can start understanding freedom.

Freedom to dream doesn’t begin with dreaming bigger—it begins with discovering God’s heart.

Freedom to dream begins when you believe God has not forgotten you.

Freedom to dream begins when you realize God never stopped pursuing you.

Sometimes the loudest lies aren't spoken by the enemy.
They're spoken by us.

Pain has a way of changing not only how we see tomorrow but how we see ourselves.

Fear imagines punishment.
Freedom imagines grace.

You live differently when you know where you belong.

The cross didn't simply forgive your sin.
It adopted you into God's family.

Dreams are born wherever identity is secure.

What if the King of Kings has already declared something over me that I've never believed?

You can't dream like royalty while believing you're still an orphan.

You can't embrace tomorrow if you're still living from yesterday.

You don't dream because life gets easier.
You dream because you finally know whose table you're sitting at.

Your identity determines the size of your expectation.

What "Lo-debar" have you accepted as home that God never intended to be your identity?

Mephibosheth's original name was Merib-baal, which means something like "Baal contends" or "Baal is my advocate."

But by the time the books of Samuel were written, his name is consistently recorded as Mephibosheth.

Mephibosheth means "one who destroys shame"

Shame may explain where you've been, but it does not get to decide who you are.

You cannot dream about God's future while you're still chained to yesterday's shame.

Culture says, "Achieve something then you'll belong."
Kingdom says, "You belong therefore go live differently."

The enemy wants your imagination filled with fear.
The Holy Spirit fills it with hope.

Don't let disappointment have the final word.
Let the King speak over your future again.

The question isn't "Can I dream again?"

The question is "Will I trust the King enough to believe what He says about my future?"

The greatest dream you'll ever dream isn't the one you create for yourself—it's discovering the future the King has already imagined for you.
