Chapel Rock is partnering with Bible Runners to get Bibles into the people's hands and the Gospel of Jesus into their hearts. Donate a Bible or Bibles (in any condition) by leaving them in the DropZone bin in the Foyer. To help cover shipping costs, please place a $1 bill as an easily-seen bookmark in each Bible. Our goal is 300 Bibles!
Operation Christmas Child Item Collection
In July, school supplies (all must be new) are being collected! Stores are starting sales on school supplies! Pencils and sharpeners, paper, small tablets, stickers, erasers, markers, pens, crayons, calculators, scissors, glue sticks, etc. Grab a handful and bring them to the DropZone bin! For more information contact Judy Heuss at 317-702-0508.
WELL (Westside English Language Learning) Wants You!
Six English class levels for adult students are offered on Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., August through May. Child care and children’s classes are available for infants through age 11 while their parents attend class. WELL relies totally on volunteers to fill the roles of adult classroom teacher and conversation coach, children’s classroom co-teachers, infant and toddler caregivers, subs for adult and children’s classes and safety team members. Our story has more of God’s goodness, when it reflects His likeness.
Likeness to God is inherent (Genesis 5:1-2)
· This passage echoes back to Genesis 1:26&27, that we are made in the image of our Creator.
· Being made in the image of God is how God designed each and every human being.

· In contrast to the family line of Cain, we see that the line of Seth is one that is the byproduct of those who, “began to call on the name of the Lord.”
· Though we see Enoch as the one who is highlighted for walking faithfully with God, he is still a fruit from a tree planted generations earlier.
Somewhere along the line, Adam told Seth about the garden and what it was like to walk with God. Seth taught Enosh, Enosh taught his children, children taught grandchildren.

Jesus Restores God’s Image
a. Jesus doesn’t replace the original design, He restores it.
b. We needed one who was more than merely an image bearer of God, but One who is the Image of God Himself.

Jesus reveals the Image of God to humanity
Jesus is what humanity was always intended to reflect.
He came to restore the image of God in each of us, to restore fellowship between God and man, and He bridged that gap, caused by our sin, by laying down His life and by being raised to life again.

Follow Jesus
For us to live consistently with our new identity in Christ and to share Him with those around us, we need to embody His likeness.
