This Series

Our desire for this study has been that, as we grow in our understanding of the book of Exodus, we would also grow in our understanding of how amazing God is, and therefore want to live for His glory and share His glory with others.

The Fourth Commandment

Remember the Sabbath, and keep it holy.

This command of rest reveals God's sovereignty.

How should we keep it? – In this verse it says to keep it holy – holy means to set something apart from simply common use).

Don't work on the 7th day. Prepare things ahead of time so that you can rest. God cares about rest. He owns this seventh day. God blessed it and designated it as special.

Who?

We shouldn't look for loopholes. It's for everyone.

2. The Purpose of Rest Reveals God's Heart.
3. The Practice of Rest Reveals our Faith.

Will we be obedient? This will reveal our faith in Him.
