Samson's story summarized from Judges 16:
Samson, a man called and empowered by God to lead Israel, slowly drifted through compromise and poor choices. Eventually, after Delilah had his hair cut, he lost his strength, was captured, and humbled. Later, in his brokenness, he cried out to God one final time for strength, and God used him one last time to confront Israel’s enemies.

When you hear Samson’s story, what part feels most surprising or hard to understand, and why?

Where do you think people today are most likely to start “small compromises” that don’t seem dangerous at first but can grow over time?

Samson kept returning to relationships and situations that weren’t good for him. What are some ways people can recognize when a relationship, habit, or environment is quietly pulling them away from wisdom or spiritual health?

What makes it hard in the moment to stop ourselves from crossing a line we already know is there?

Closing Prayer
God, thank You that Your grace reaches even into our weakness, failure, and regret. Help us to see the areas of compromise in our own lives before they grow into something destructive. Give us wisdom to recognize danger, courage to stop when we need to stop, and humility to listen to Your voice over our own desires. Where we have crossed lines, bring forgiveness and healing. Where we are still standing at the edge, give us strength to turn back. Teach us to live with integrity in both the public and private parts of our lives, and help us depend on You daily. Amen.
