Love in this verse comes from the Greek word, agape. Which means the highest form of affection, benevolence, charity.

The word Pursue, in its Greek form here means: to chase after, seek diligently, like a hunter pursuing its catch/prize.

Paul lays it out very specifically in the previous chapter, one that we’re very familiar with.

When we read this, the word Love here, is the same Greek word as 1 Corinthinas 14;1 - Agape
Most often, we hear these verses shared for affectionate love, moments where we talk about loving someone unconditionally and so on, and how inspirational right?

So, is it always easy to pursue love?
Is it always easy to be patient, and kind, to not be envious or proud, or arrogant, or rude?
Is it always easy when things don’t go our way or to not get irritated, or be resentful?
Is it always easy to keep no record of being wronged? NO.
Will there be trials, YES. Because to endure here means ahaving a steadfastness that is ABLE to withstand trials.
