Hebrews 6:1-3 - So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. 2 You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.
I. THE JOURNEY BEGINS WITH THE BASIC’S OF FAITH
Hebrews 5:11-14 - There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. 12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

II. PAUL SHOWED THE EVIDENCE OF A GROWING BELIEVER.
1. Paul was baptized.
Acts 9:18 - Instantly something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up and was baptized.
2. Paul had a desire for the Holy Spirit
Acts 9:17 - So Ananias went and found Saul. He laid his hands on him and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
3. Paul learned to pray.
Acts 9:11 - The Lord said, “Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.
4. Paul showed the value of church attendance.
Acts 9:19 - Afterward he ate some food and regained his strength. Saul stayed with the believers[d] in Damascus for a few days.
Hebrews 10:25 –And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
5. Paul began to share his new faith.
Acts 9:20 - And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “He is indeed the Son of God!”
