We can hear God correctly and obey properly and still encounter storms.
The disciples are scared and panicked because to them, it looks like they are going to drown…
God is not panicked because…
He got it.

So why do we encounter storms when we follow Jesus?
God wants to show us that…

They were afraid in the storm because they didn’t know who Jesus really was.
How do we find calm in the storm?
Look to God.

Have you ever heard the term ‘structural integrity’?
It’s an engineering term, referring to the ability of an item to stand strong under a load, without breaking or deforming. A bridge or building may not be opened to its intended public use if it doesn’t pass the test of structural integrity. And once it is in use, the engineers are praised for the structures’ purpose being served, carrying the load it was intended for without losing form or breaking down…
Like buildings and bridges, we are challenged to stand the test of time, time and time again. If we are to be come fully developed and pure, we are not to be untested.

His purpose is good—“all things work together for good to those who love God”
His promises are sure—“Do not fear, for I am with you”
