Ephesians 4:22-24 NLT - throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God--truly righteous and holy.
The issues:
1. It costs too much.
Philippians 3:7-8 NLT - I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.
2. I’m not strong enough.
Philippians 2:13 NLT - For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
3. It takes too long.
Genesis 15:4-6 NLT - Then the LORD said to him, "No, your servant will not be your heir, for you will have a son of your own who will be your heir." Then the LORD took Abram outside and said to him, "Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That's how many descendants you will have!" And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith.

Genesis 21:1-2, 5 NLT - The LORD kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. ... Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born.
How to fix it:
1.Get out of maintenance mode
Philippians 3:12-14 NLT -I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

2. Respond to struggles correctly
Ephesians 1:18 NLT - I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called--his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
3.Bring others along

10% Chance:You have an idea or goal.
65% Chance: You commit to your goal with someone else.
76% Chance: Provide weekly updates to a friend.
95% Chance: You schedule specific accountability check-ins with an accountability partner.

Colossians 3:10, 16-17 NLT - Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. ... Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
4. Trust God’s way is BEST
Jeremiah 29:13 NLT - If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Jeremiah 29:13 MSG: "When you come looking for me, you'll find me. Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed."

John 6:66-68 NLT - At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, "Are you also going to leave?" Simon Peter replied, "Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.
