Welcome
We begin our prayers with praise because Jesus instructed that prayer begins with who God is, where He is, and with an active longing that our kingdoms become more like His.

God Summons Us

Call to Worship
Leader: May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah

All: that your way may be known on earth

Leader: your saving power among all nations

All: Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!

Leader: Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah

All: Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you!

Leader: The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, shall bless us.

All: God shall bless us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!

Songs of Praise

Come Ye Sinners
by Taylor Johnson, Dan Hamilton, Robbie Seay, and Ryan Owens
© 2005 Birdwing Music CCLI Song # 4582588 -- CCLI License # 162332

Come ye sinners
The poor and needy
Weak and wounded
Sick and sore
And Jesus ready
Stands to save you
Full of pity
Love and power

Chorus
I will arise and go to Jesus
He will embrace me in His arms
And in the arms of my dear Savior
Oh there are ten thousand charms
(Ten thousand charms)

Come ye weary
Heavy laden
Lost and ruined
By the fall
And if you tarry
Until your better
You will never
Come at all

Oh there are ten thousand charms
Oh there are ten thousand charms

Better is One Day

CCLI Song # 1097451 -- CCLI License # 162332

How lovely is your dwelling place
O Lord Almighty
For my soul longs and even faints for You
For her my heart is satisfied
Within your presence
I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings

Chorus
Better is one day in Your courts
Better is one day in Your house
Better is one day in Your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
(Than thousands elsewhere)

One thing I ask and I would seek
To see Your beauty
To find You in the place
Your glory dwells
(Repeat)

My heart and flesh cry out
For You the living God
Your Spirit's water to my soul
I've tasted and I've seen
Come once again to me
I will draw near to You
I will draw near to You to You

Better is one day, better is one day,
Better is one day than thousands elsewhere.
Better is one day, better is one day,
Better is one day than thousands elsewhere.
Liturgical Practice

Silent Personal Confession
The Psalmist models a transparent faith with these words: "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”.

Unison Confession
God of everlasting love,
we confess that we have been unfaithful
to our covenant with you and with one another.
We have worshiped other gods: money, power, greed, and convenience.
We have served our own self-interest
instead of serving only you.
We have not loved our neighbor as you have commanded.
Forgive us, gracious God,
and bring us back into the fullness
of our covenant with you and one another.
Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Declaration of Forgiveness
Thanks be to God the Father that He loves us, to Jesus Christ His only Son who forgives us and renews us in our worship and service to Him, and thanks be to the Holy Spirit whose love will never let us go.

Doxology

CCLI Song # 7227612 -- CCLI License # 162332

Walking in the dark I couldn't see
Locked inside the lies of unbelief
But then Your Word it came to me
A light unto my eyes
Your law is good and true and pure and right

Chorus
More precious than gold, sweeter than honey
Reviving my soul, Your testimony
Your glory displayed in all creation
Your living Word, my meditation

Waiting for the coming of the King
The One of whom we've heard the prophets speak
Then Your Word it came to me
A light unto my eyes
The face of God revealed in Jesus Christ

The Heavens delaring
The skies are proclaiming
That there's no denying
Jesus You are (worthy of praise)

CCLI Song # 7117726 -- CCLI License # 162332

I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I've been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

Chorus
All my life you have been faithful
All my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest night
You are close like no other
I've known You as a father
I've known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God

Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
With my life laid down
I'm surrendered now
I give You everything
Your goodness is running after
It's running after me
Lord’s Supper

Children: Why do we give thanks and praise before this table?

All: We give thanks for God’s work of creation, liberation, and salvation.

Elder: It is indeed right, our duty and delight, that we should at all times and in all places give thanks to you, O holy Lord, eternal God.

You created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them; you made us in your own image; and in countless ways you show us your mercy. Therefore, with choirs of angels and the whole company of heaven, we worship and adore your glorious name, joining our voices in their unending praise:

All: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Elder: All glory and blessing are yours, O holy God, for in your mercy you gave your only Son, Jesus Christ. He took our human nature and suffered death on the cross for our redemption. There he made a perfect sacrifice for the sins for the whole world. We praise you that before he suffered and
died, our Savior gave us this holy sacrament and commanded us to continue it until he comes again.

Children: Why do we eat bread at this table?

Elder: On the night before he died, Jesus took bread. After giving thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take, eat. This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

Children: Why do we drink from the cup at this table?

Elder: The same night Jesus took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant sealed in my blood, shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. Do this in remembrance of me.”

Children: What do we remember at this table?

Elder: We remember God’s gracious love for us, Christ’s death and resurrection for us, and the Spirit’s tender care for us. Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:

All: Dying, you destroyed our death; rising, you restored our life. Lord Jesus, come in glory.

Elder: Merciful God, pour out your Holy Spirit on these gifts of bread and wine, that in eating and drinking we may be made one with Christ and one another.

All: Amen.

Elder: Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, now and forever.

All: Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
—based on 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
