God Summons Us

Call to Worship
Leader: Deal bountifully with your servants, that we may live and keep your word.

ALL: Open our eyes, that we may behold wondrous things out of your law for we are sojourners on the earth;

Leader: Your testimonies are our delight; they are our counselors. Give us understanding, that we may follow you whole heartedly.

ALL: Let your steadfast love come to us, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise.

Leader: Let your steadfast love comfort us; let your mercy come to us, that we may live.

ALL: Give us life according to your steadfast love.

Leader: This is our comfort in our affliction, that your promise gives us life.

ALL: Your statutes have been our songs in the house of our sojourning. Be gracious according to your promise.

Adapted from Psalm 119
Songs of Praise

Hymn #066 - This is My Father's World

Great Are You Lord
by Leslie Jordan and David Leonard

You give life
You are love
You bring light to the darkness
You give hope
You restore
Ev'ry heart that is broken
And great are you Lord

Chorus
It's your breath
In our lungs
So we pour out our praise
We pour out our praise
It's your breath
In our lungs
So we pour out our praise to you only

And all the earth will shout your praise
Our hearts will cry these bones will sing
Great are you Lord

2001 CCLI Song #5881068 - CCLI License # 162332

Lectio Divina - 1 Peter 1:22-23
Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart, since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.

And to the Son
And to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning,
Is now and ever shall be,
World without end.

Closing Song

Firm Foundation (He Won't)
by Austin Davis, Chandler Moore, and Cody Carnes
2021 -- CCLI License # 162332

Christ is my firm foundation
the rock on which I stand
When ev'rything around me is shaken,
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus,
'Cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations,
So why would He fail now

He won't
He won't

I've still got joy in chaos,
I've got peace that makes no sense
So, I won't be going under,
I'm not held by my own strength
'Cause I've built my life on Jesus,
He's never let me down
He's faithful in every season,
So why would He fail now

Chorus
He won't, He won't, He won't fail
He won't fail
He won't, He won't, He won't fail
He won't fail

Rain cam and wind blew,
But my house was built on you
(And) I'm safe with You,
I'm going to make it through

Yeah, I'm going to make it through,
'Cause I'm standing strong on You
Yeah, I'm going to make it through
'Cause my house is built on You

Exodus 19:4-6 ESV
4 ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”
