PART 2: How to Be Led by the Spirit of God
God never intended Christianity to be merely behavioral. It is relational and Spirit-led.
The Holy Spirit is not just a feeling in worship. He is a guide for daily living.
Many believers want:
miracles from the Spirit,
gifts from the Spirit,
power from the Spirit,
but don’t cultivate sensitivity to the Spirit.
miracles from the Spirit,
gifts from the Spirit,
power from the Spirit,
but don’t cultivate sensitivity to the Spirit.
The greatest question is not: “What do I want?” but: “Holy Spirit, what are You saying?”
POINT 1 — The Spirit Leads Through Peace, Not Pressure
The Holy Spirit leads with peace. The flesh leads with panic.
Flesh says:
“Do it NOW.”
“Fix it immediately.”
“Force it.”
“Manipulate.”
“Do it NOW.”
“Fix it immediately.”
“Force it.”
“Manipulate.”
The Spirit produces peace even in uncertainty.
Pressure is not always God.
Many people mistake adrenaline for anointing.
The Spirit may challenge you, but He does not drive you with confusion and chaos.
POINT 2 — The Spirit Leads Through the Word
The Holy Spirit never contradicts Scripture.
If it violates the Word, it is not the Spirit.
You cannot be Spirit-led while you're neglecting God's word.
The Spirit speaks most clearly to believers who stay in the Word.
POINT 3 — The Spirit Produces Fruit, Not Chaos
When the Spirit leads:
love grows,
patience grows,
self-control grows,
gentleness grows.
love grows,
patience grows,
self-control grows,
gentleness grows.
When feelings lead:
drama increases,
impulsiveness increases,
instability increases.
drama increases,
impulsiveness increases,
instability increases.
What have your reactions been producing lately?
peace or chaos?
healing or division?
wisdom or regret?
peace or chaos?
healing or division?
wisdom or regret?
The Spirit does not merely make you emotional. He makes you transformed.
POINT 4 — Walking in the Spirit Requires Daily Surrender
Being Spirit-led is not a one-time altar call. It is a daily death to self.
Daily surrender means:
praying when you don’t feel like it,
worshipping when tired,
forgiving when hurt,
obeying when uncomfortable.
praying when you don’t feel like it,
worshipping when tired,
forgiving when hurt,
obeying when uncomfortable.
Feelings ask, “What do I want?”
The Spirit asks, “What glorifies God?”
The Spirit asks, “What glorifies God?”
