a. Sin of discontentment
“Whatever your circumstances, and however difficult they may be, the truth is that they are ordained by God for you as part of His overall plan for your life. You and I are who we are physically because that is the way God made us. And He made us the way we are because that is how we can best fulfill His plan for our lives.”

Key Theme:
Walking through life as a “living doxology” means honoring Christ in both your physical life (especially in sexuality and relationships) and your present circumstances, trusting that both are assigned by God for His glory and your good.
Key Application:
Reject self-centered living, whether through sexual gratification or circumstantial discontentment, trusting God’s guidance and presence with you.
Key Verses:
Psalm 139:5 “You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.”
Key Questions:
1. Where do you see your tendency to “consume” others to meet your own perceived needs?
2. Do you currently view your life situation (marriage, singleness, job, limitations) as a gift/assignment or a problem to escape? Why?
3. What does your discontentment reveal about what you believe about God’s goodness or sovereignty?

Give Online
Church family, we praise God for how faithfully in so many respects you give. Our church family is undeniably generous, but we still have great needs for supplication. We ask that you give joyfully, faithfully and sacrificially in response to how our great God and Savior has given to us.
