Scripture:
It is entirely possible to be active, involved, dependable, faithful, and exhausted—yet still not be __________.
Branches really only have one purpose: to bear __________.
Fruit was never meant to simply sit there looking beautiful and __________.
They looked impressive from a distance, but they were __________.
God never intended the fruit in our lives to stop with __________.
Jesus did not simply say, “Become holy and keep it to yourself.” He said, “Go and make __________.”
• Apprenticeship is not just about teaching __________.

Start talking:
• When you hear the phrase “living holy in a loud world,” what comes to mind?
• Do you consider yourself more busy or more fruitful right now?
Start Thinking:
• Read John 15:1–4. What does Jesus mean when He says, “Remain in me”?
• What’s the difference between spiritual activity and spiritual fruitfulness?
• Pastor Barb said fruit was never meant to sit untouched. What does it mean for spiritual fruit to “feed” other people?
• Why is apprenticeship more than simply teaching information?
• Pastor Barb said Christianity was never designed to be isolated. Why do we still struggle to live in true Christian community?
• What does “Go be the church” mean beyond attending services?
Start Sharing:
• Have you ever gone through a season where you looked spiritually strong on the outside but felt disconnected inside?
• Who has helped you grow spiritually over the years?
• Is there someone you feel called to encourage, mentor, or walk alongside right now?
• What are some ways different generations in the church can learn from one another?
• Share about a time when another believer helped carry your burdens or encouraged you spiritually.
Start Praying:
• Ask God to help you remain connected to Jesus daily.
• Pray for real spiritual fruit instead of just spiritual busyness.
• Ask God to show you who you can walk alongside spiritually.
• Pray for courage to share your faith and your story honestly.
• Pray for deeper unity and discipleship across generations in the church.
• Ask God to help Baker City Church of the Nazarene become a fruitful church, not just a busy church.
Start Doing:
• Set aside intentional quiet time with Jesus this week without rushing or multitasking.
• Reach out to one person you can encourage spiritually this week.
• Invite someone to coffee, lunch, Bible study, or prayer.
• Identify one distraction or unnecessary “noise” you need to reduce this week.
• Practice one fruit of the Spirit intentionally every day this week.
• Ask yourself daily: “Am I simply busy, or am I becoming fruitful?”
• Find one way to “be the church” outside the church building this week.
