Living for a Legacy of Faith
2 Timothy 1:1-7
In this passage, we are going to see that a legacy of faith is built when faith becomes personal, is passed down intentionally, and practiced daily.
I. A Faith that is Deeply Personal
2 Timothy 1:1

2 Timothy 1:3-4
What if your success is not in what you accomplish but in who you invest in?
Lance Morrow, Time: "The damage caused by a father’s absence may be severe and may last a lifetime. It is a shadow; the longing of sons for their fathers is almost physical; something passionate and profound. It is often mysterious to sons what it is they want from their fathers, but I see it in my sons: their longing for me."

II. A Faith that is Intentionally Passed Down
2 Timothy 1:5b
Wherever you are spiritually by the age of 18 is where you will likely stay the rest of your life.
Every time we pray out loud, explain God’s word, bring them to church, listen to worship music, model to them repentance and forgiveness, and point them to Jesus, we are planting seeds that can lead to a lasting faith.
III. A Faith that is Courageously Practiced
2 Timothy 1:6

Courage is not the absence of fear but is faith-fueled obedience in the presence of God.
