Luke 1:22-38, 45

1. The profound plan of God.

A. Jesus was born in an insignificant city – Nazareth.

B. Born to a teenage girl.

2. God’s profound plan was founded on God’s profound grace.

A. Esther – An orphan who became a queen. Esther 2:15-18

B. A definition of grace.

C. The promise to be with us always. Matthew 28:18-20; Hebrews 13:5-8

D. God is no respecter of age. 2 Chronicles 16:9

3. God‘s profound plan was revealed in His profound Word.

A. Isaiah 7:14

B. The promises to King David. 2 Samuel 7:11-16

C. David ‘s response to God’s promises. 2 Samuel 7:25-29

4. Mary’s profound response to God.

A. To submit to God‘s will and plan for her life.

Application Thoughts

1. Pray and believe God has profound plans for your children. Psalm 5:12; Psalm 90:16-17

2. Submit daily to God’s will, because success in life is doing the will of God. James 4:13-17

3. God blesses those that obey His profound Word. Psalm 1:2-3; James 1:25

MINISTRY CONNECTION POINTS

Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry is encouraging the women of the church to read the Bible, just a chapter a day, and join the TableTop gathering for discussion the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. The women's Saturday morning Bible study meets every other week at 9:00am at the church.

Men's Ministry
There is a men’s gathering on the third Thursday of every month. These gatherings provide great opportunities for ment to grow in their relationships with one another and with the Lord. There is also a men's prayer time at 6:00am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.

Young Adults
The Young Adults group serves college students and young professionals. There are several gatherings throughout the month.

Youth Group
Youth Group includes both middle-schoolers and high-schoolers. The group meets on Sunday mornings during the service on all but the first Sunday of the month. The group also meets Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm.

Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry serves the kids of Hillside from nursery through fifth grade. We are always on the lookout for servant-hearted people who love kids to help with our Children's Ministry.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers offer one-to-one, Christ-centered, emotional and spiritual care for people in the congregation going through difficult times such as job loss, financial struggles, medical issues, or death of a loved one.

Care Team Ministry
The Care Team Ministry provides transportation for those in need in our Hillside Family.

Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Team hosts a monthly prayer night on the third Monday of the month at 7:00pm, and everyone is welcome! You can also receive prayer in person from 9:30-10:00am Sunday mornings in the cry room adjacent to the church lobby.

Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry is a practical way to meet the needs of others in the congregation who are welcoming a new baby or experiencing challenging circumstances.
