“Why Community…Will the Circle Be Unbroken?”

That hymn was “Will the Circle Be Unbroken?”

God didn’t design us to follow Him from a place of ISOLATION but from a place of SHARED COMMUNITY.

The reason is because we have NOT devoted ourselves to living in deep relational community with one another.

The CIRCLE OF COMMUNITY IS BROKEN in most churches!

They were INTENTIONALLY devoting themselves to meeting regularly with a group of people that they were doing life with.

What the believers in Acts were doing was NOT A PROGRAM! It was their CULTURE!

The power of our faith isn’t just in what we BELIEVE… it’s in HOW WE HOLD ONTO EACH OTHER.”

We must shift the CULTURE of Life Church for several reasons.

First, because our growth and health as believers is dependent on having a SHARED LIFE EXPERIENCE.

Second, we need to shift our CULTURE because of WHERE the world is heading!

This cannot be a PROGRAM. It must become our WAY OF THINKING…a CULTURE where we understand the value and importance of regularly and intentionally meeting with those, we have relationship with.

It’s important to understand that the early believers didn’t just BELIEVE the same things, they SHARED THEIR LIVES! Christianity isn’t just about BELIEF it’s about BELONGING!

Think About This: YOU CAN BELIEVE ALONE, BUT YOU CANNOT THRIVE ALONE!

TRUST creates space for people to be honest, challenged, and encouraged which leads to GROWTH and TRANSFORMATION in people’s lives.

Remember this: ROWS INFORM, BUT CIRCLES TRANSFORM

Why did they gain FAVOR in the community and GROW like crazy?

Their UNBROKEN CIRCLE became THEIR TESTIMONY to the world.

Our strength is not in our individuality. It’s in our CONNECTION with one another!

The result of developing a SHARED LIFE CULTURE is that believers are Strengthened, the Kingdom Grows, and the Community is Impacted!
