The father isn’t just accepting him back. He’s fully restoring him. Kindness doesn’t just let people back in, it
lifts them back up.

The older brother represents a dangerous mindset. He was judging instead of rejoicing when people are
restored.

WE ARE BOTH SONS AT DIFFERENT TIMES

In both cases, the Father is kind. He runs to the rebellious. And he reasons with the religious. God’s kindness reaches both the mess and the pride.

Luke 15:20 NKJV - But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

This week, ask yourself:
1. Who do I need to run toward?
Someone distant… hurting… or ashamed
2. Who do I need to restore, not just receive?
Someone who needs dignity, not just tolerance
3. Where have I been acting like the older brother?
Judging instead of celebrating
