HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY
Mother's Day Message: Raising Eagles: Lessons From the Mothers of Spiritual Giants
Thank you for joining us this Mother’s Day as we honor and celebrate all women in our church family. We are grateful for mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, adoptive mothers, spiritual mothers, and every woman who shows love, strength, and care in so many meaningful ways.
Thank you for being here and sharing in this special day with us.
Happy Mother’s Day!

Big Idea: God uses imperfect people to raise courageous, faith-filled kids—kids who can soar in a broken world because they’re anchored in Him.

Proverbs 23:25b says, “May she who gave you birth be happy.”

1) Jochebed – Attachment: Connecting to one another
Accesorio: Conectándose entre sí

God has big plans for your little child. Dios tiene grandes planes para tu pequeño.

2) Hannah – Responsibility: Self-control
Responsabilidad: Autocontrol
(1 Samuel 1–2)

Hannah is the mother who kept her promise.

1 Samuel 1:26–2:1 (NLT) 26 “Sir, do you remember me?” Hannah asked. “I am the very woman who stood here several years ago praying to the Lord. 27 I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request. 28 Now I am giving him to the Lord, and he will belong to the Lord his whole life.” And they worshiped the Lord there. Then Hannah prayed: “My heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.

3) Rebekah – Reality: Living in an imperfect world

(Genesis 24–27)

Genesis 25:23 (NLT) And the Lord told her, “The sons in your womb will become two nations. From the very beginning, the two nations will be rivals. One nation will be stronger than the other, and your older son will serve your younger son.”

4) Naomi – Competence: Developing gifts and talents

(Book of Ruth)

Ruth 4:14–15 (NLT) Then the women of the town said to Naomi, “Praise the Lord, who has now provided a redeemer for your family! May this child be famous in Israel. 15 May he restore your youth and care for you in your old age. For he is the son of your daughter-in-law who loves you and has been better to you than seven sons!”

Honorable mentions (if you want to keep studying)
Women God used in powerful ways, even in hard circumstances:

Widow of Zarephath — trusting God as Provider.
Hagar — endurance and God’s attention in the wilderness.
Samson’s mother — faithfulness to what God instructed.
Elizabeth — believing God for the impossible.
Bathsheba — redemption and hope when the story starts messy.

So, what now?
1. Become a student of the kids God has placed in your life.
2. Ask God to burden you with what your child needs most right now.
3. Pray for insight—not just safety or success.
4. Model the faith you want them to inherit.

IGNITE STUDENTS MINISTRY
