1. A misunderstanding of God‘s grace.

A. We think it is dependent on our performance. Romans 4:1-8

2. The encouragement of God’s grace.

A. God uses us in our weaknesses. 2 Corinthians 12:7-10

B. God extends His favor to us. Genesis 39:19-23; Psalm 5:12

3. The extent of God’s grace.

A. Mary Magdalene: From depravity to dignity. Luke 8:1-3

B. The woman at the well. John 4

C. The apostle John.

Application: Expectations of God‘s grace.

1. You will know you are special to God—you are unique, and with it comes God‘s favor. Psalm 139:1-6, 13-15

2. You will become more tolerant and less judgmental of others. Romans 2:1-4; Romans 12:3-5, 10

3. You will believe God has timely words of grace for you to give to others. Ephesians 4:29-30; Hebrews 10:23-25

Membership Class - May 17

There will be a Membership Class right after the service on Sunday, May 17. If you are considering joining Hillside, this is an important part of the process. Kids Camp VOLUNTEER Registration

Kids Camp volunteers are needed leading up to and during the week of camp. We need more help this year than we have in years past, so we'd love to have your help for an hour, a few hours, or all week if you're available. Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry is encouraging the women of the church to read the Bible, just a chapter a day, and join the TableTop gathering for discussion the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm. The women's Saturday morning Bible study meets every other week at 9:00am at the church.

Men's Ministry
There is a men’s gathering on the third Thursday of every month. These gatherings provide great opportunities for ment to grow in their relationships with one another and with the Lord. There is also a men's prayer time at 6:00am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month.

Young Adults
The Young Adults group serves college students and young professionals. There are several gatherings throughout the month.

Youth Group
Youth Group includes both middle-schoolers and high-schoolers. The group meets on Sunday mornings during the service on all but the first Sunday of the month. The group also meets Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm.

Children's Ministry
Our Children's Ministry serves the kids of Hillside from nursery through fifth grade. We are always on the lookout for servant-hearted people who love kids to help with our Children's Ministry.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers offer one-to-one, Christ-centered, emotional and spiritual care for people in the congregation going through difficult times such as job loss, financial struggles, medical issues, or death of a loved one.

Care Team Ministry
The Care Team Ministry provides transportation for those in need in our Hillside Family.

Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Team hosts a monthly prayer night on the third Monday of the month at 7:00pm, and everyone is welcome! You can also receive prayer in person from 9:30-10:00am Sunday mornings in the cry room adjacent to the church lobby.

Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry is a practical way to meet the needs of others in the congregation who are welcoming a new baby or experiencing challenging circumstances.
