Think about the last time you experienced a significant wait. How did you react, and what did that reaction reveal about your heart?

Consider why God calls us to wait. Can you recall a time you acted without waiting for God's direction? What was the outcome of that action?

What is a prayer you are waiting on God to answer? How can you wait well through this season?

Even while we wait, we can communicate our desires, frustrations, and emotions to God through prayer. How comfortable are you with this prayer practice, or do you find it difficult or perhaps even irreverent?

Consider what type of prayer practice you might incorporate into your daily routine. What specific steps will you take this week to make this a reality?

Father, We come to You as people who are waiting—some of us patiently, others of us not so much. You see our hearts fully—our hopes, our frustrations, and even the things we’re struggling to trust You with. Thank You that we don’t have to hide any of that from You. Teach us what it means to wait well. Not just to sit still, but to trust deeply. Shape something in us during the waiting—grow our faith, refine our character, and draw us closer to You. For the prayers we’re still holding onto, remind us that You are working even when we don’t see it. Help us to believe that Your timing is good and that Your plans are better than our own. Help us to establish a rhythm of prayer that keeps us connected to You—honest, consistent, and full of faith. And in every season, whether answers come quickly or slowly, help us become more like Jesus. We trust You, even here. Amen.
