The Bible teaches us to give the first 10% of our income to the "storehouse." God says we can test Him by doing this and watching Him take care of us in return. This may sound like a stretch to you! Just take a step toward toward that goal. If you currently give nothing, start giving something. If you give something, try increasing it a step toward the 10% goal. Trust God! Give Him your first before anything else by setting up a recurring, automated donation online. You will then receive quarterly updates about how your giving is making a difference and how your donations are being used.

Bottom Line: Knowing who is in control replaces fear with hope.
Bottom Line: Knowing who is in control replaces fear with hope.
1. Don't panic - chaos does not mean God has lost control.
2. Trouble is not the end but the beginning.
3. Fear and lies spread when love grows cold.
4. The call is not to escape but to endure.
5. Nothing stops the Gospel.
Knowing who is in control replaces fear with hope.
START TALKING:
When have you been in the midst of chaos or uncertainty, but when a certain person walked in the room or situation you knew it was going to be ok? Who was that person and why did you know they would now have it under control?

START THINKING:
Read Matthew 24:1-8. Is Jesus really saying that wars and rumors of wars are a sign of his imminent return? (Hint: look at the end of verse 6 and beginning of verse 8) Why do you think this is so often misunderstood?
Read Matthew 24:9-14. What will reveal who truly follows Jesus? (There are several examples given by showing what reveals who hasn't truly followed Jesus)
In verse 14, we see the only true predictor of Christ's imminent return. What is it? And what promises do we see in this verse? (Hint: look for the word "will")

START SHARING:
Jesus gives a command in this passage: don't panic. Read Colossians 3:2, Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 10:5, and Isaiah 55:8-9. How can these verses help us to make the choice to not panic but instead to replace fear with hope - a confident expectation? How have you seen yourself grow in this way as your faith has grown? What are examples of when you were able to choose faith over fear? What other verses come to mind that help you when fear arises?
Read 2 Timothy 4:3-4 and Matthew 7:15-20. How do these verses align with what Jesus tells us will take place as these last days unfold? How is this not "enduring" (i.e. standing firm under pressure, staying when running would be easier)? When have you had to run away from false teaching or endure sound teaching even when it wasn't easy?
Regardless of the calamity and chaos of the world, the Good News will be preached! When have you seen the Gospel advance despite the chaos of the world? What have you embraced (or should you embrace) is your role to spread the Good News no matter what chaos unfolds in the world around us?

START DOING:
What can we all do to endure no matter what happens to the world around us?
Read 2 Timothy 2:15. What must each of us do to be prepared to stand firm when running might be easier? What will you do this week and what habits are important to establish?
What will you do this week to fulfill Matthew 24:14? Who can you share your testimony/story with? Who is your "one"?

START PRAYING:
Pray for each person in the micro church to endure to the end, trusting that Jesus is bigger, greater, and stronger than anything the world may throw our way. Pray that we will live firmly in the truth that He is in control, even when fear seems to be winning. Pray that each person would have such a confident expectation (i.e. hope) that it would naturally flow out in the love we show others around us, especially our "ones".

Take a Next Step!
Don't just attend church for an hour a week. Take a step! What step should you take?
1. Follow Jesus! If you have followed Jesus...
2. Get baptized! If you are following Jesus, then that's all you need to be "ready" to take this step.
3. Volunteer! Don't simply be a consumer, but be part of making a difference in the lives of those who come to OneLife to experience Jesus. There are weekday and Sunday opportunities. Get info about what opportunities there are for you!
4. Join a micro church! You can't have true community sitting in rows with a large crowd. That's not the church - it's an event! Micro churches are small "churches" of 10-12 adults that meet in homes throughout the week to learn together, pray together, serve the community together, and care for each other together.
Get more information about any of the above, send us your prayer requests so we can pray with you, or ask any question we can help you with by filling out the online connection card!
