Did you know that for a plane to fly, there are about 7 Principles/ Laws that have to be in alignment at the same time in order to fly!!

1. FOLLOWED (working with the law), or
2. OVERCOME by enacting a superior law

The 7 Laws of Flight

1. Thrust (Newton's Third Law) - Followed
• Definition: Forward force propelling aircraft ahead.
• Action Required: Create equal and opposite reaction - push air back to go forward

Thrust - Drag

2. Drag (Newton's Third Law) - Overcome
• Definition: Backward resistance opposing forward motion.
• Action Required: Generate enough thrust to overpower drag's resistance

3. Weight (Newton's Law of Gravitation) - Overcome
• Definition: Downward force pulling toward earth.
• Action Required: Create sufficient lift to defeat gravity's pull

4. Lift (Bernoulli's Principle + Newton's Third Law) - Followed
• Definition: Upward force overcoming gravity's pull.
• Action Required: Work with airflow principles - proper wing design and airspeed

5. Angle of Attack (Aerodynamic Lift Equation) - Followed
• Definition: Wing angle controls lift intensity.
• Action Required: Maintain proper angle - not too shallow, not too steep

6. Equilibrium (Newton's First Law) - Followed
All forces balanced in flight.
• Action Required: Balance all four forces - thrust=drag, lift=weight
