The Resurrection Invites a Response — Believing in the resurrection is more than intellectual agreement; it is a conviction that reshapes how we live, love, and gather. The early disciples showed us what resurrection faith looks like in practice before anyone could articulate it theologically.

Sign #1 — They Kept Showing Up Together — The first mark of resurrection belief is constant, committed gathering — in worship, study, prayer, and around the table. The disciples didn't drift apart after Easter; their belief drew them toward one another, forming what Paul would later call the body of Christ.

Sign #2 — They Treated Each Other Like Family — Sacrificial love for one another was the second mark. Jesus had already redefined family as those who do the will of the Father. The early church lived this out so seriously that they told stories about those who embodied it (Barnabas) and those who didn't (Ananias and Sapphira).

Neighbor → Friend → Family — Where are you in your relationship to this community? Neighbors stay when things are comfortable; friends are committed but distracted; family shows up regardless and takes ownership. Discipleship deepens the further you lean in — with greater impact on your faith, your family, and those around you.

The Sleeping Giant Is Us — First Church carries remarkable potential — in gifts, faithfulness, and generosity. Jesus wants to awaken that potential and form us into a grace-filled, redemptive community for the world. The next step toward being fully awake is deeper commitment to this body of believers.
