⭐️ Big Idea:
What rules inside you will shape everything outside you.
1. Name It
What you carry will eventually come out.
hey
If you must dehumanize someone to stand on your position, it’s not Christ ruling you—it’s sin.
You don’t have to hurt someone to hate them—you just have to stop seeing them as human.
2. Own It
What you choose reveals who you’re becoming.
Don’t blame your reactions on your emotions.
You may not choose what you feel—but you always choose what you do.
Human anger may feel justified—but it never produces a God-shaped life.
You can be right in what you feel—and still wrong in how you respond.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do in a divided moment…
is be the only person in the room who isn’t ruled by it.
3. Fight it
What you leave unchecked will take control.
Sin crouching at the door = foothold

A foothold is a small position an enemy secures inside your territory—so they can bring in more forces.

Here’s How You Fight:
1. Interrupt It - What you replay, you reinforce.
2. Surrender It - If you don’t surrender it to God, you’ll spread it.
3. Replace it - Trade the reaction you feel for the response you know is right.
Response:

Draw a circle on your card:
Inside the circle write...
1. Where are you angry?
2. Who are you holding something against?
3. Where has it been sitting too long?

Discussion Guide:

Opener Question:
1. What’s something small that shouldn’t make you mad—but totally does?

Discussion Questions (use what’s helpful)
1. Where is anger quietly growing in your life right now?
2. What story are you telling yourself about that person?
3. What are you feeling beneath the anger?
4. When you’re triggered, what do you instinctively want to do?
5. What does your reaction reveal about you?
6. Where are you blaming instead of owning?
7. What would it look like to respond, not react?
8. What happens if you leave this unchecked?
9. What would it look like for Jesus to rule that moment?
10. What is one step you will take this week to stay in the circle?
