Wisdom is Trusting in God
In 2024, 47% of households were married couples. In 1949 the rate was 79%.

Both men and women are marrying later in life: men at 30 yrs and women at 28 yrs.

Dating and marriage are examples of trust-laden experiences in life.

We all place our trust in others all the time at varying levels. It’s like we were built for trust.

Scripture tells us we were fashioned by God for a trusting relationship with Him and one another.
Trust toward God can be seen in three key words.
Surrender

Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding”

Trust and lean are closely connected.

Trust involves a position of vulnerability. Lean has idea of “external support”

For Salvation

In Suffering
Friendship

Proverbs 3:6 “in all your ways acknowledge Him”

The word “acknowledge” is not a belief statement, it’s a relational one.
Destination

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
