Weekly Sermon Overview:
All through the season of Lent, we have tried to answer the question, Why did Jesus have to die? We did this by leaning about all the atonement theories which give us many different reasons why Jesus died on a cross. Today we are going to shift from why did He die on a cross to what has Jesus saved us for? The cross and the resurrection were never meant to be the end of the story, but rather they are the beginning of what God calls us to. Sunday we will consider that eternal life or forgiveness of sins is not just the goal of the cross, but rather a gift of assurance on the way to loving the world.
