Today we begin the march to the cross. There is no question spiritually and historically that Jesus was raised from the dead, but why was it so important for Jesus to suffer and die? Why is it so important that He was raised from the dead? We will answer those questions and more in this series.

TODAY'S DECLARATION:

I reject every lie of the enemy and receive my identity in Christ. I am loved, chosen, called, and equipped for every good work. My worth is not based on what I’ve done, but on who He is in me. I stand firm as a child of the Most High God!

1) Sin Requires a Payment (Romans 6:23 NKJV, Leviticus 17:11 NKJV)

- The law was like a mirror, it could show us the sin, but it could not wash us clean.

2) Jesus Became Our Substitute (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV, Isaiah 53:5 NKJV)

The cross is the greatest exchange in history:
- He took our sin
- We received His righteousness
- He took our punishment
- We received His peace

3) The Cross Demonstrates God’s Love (Romans 5:8 NKJV, John 3:16 NKJV)
