Believing and Sharing King Jesus

Transformative Truth: Jesus was and is the Jewish Messiah. However, the Jewish people crucified their Messiah because the kingdom He offered did not fit their expectations.

Transformative Point: Believe in Jesus, not as you wish Him to be, but for who He is and who He shows Himself to be.

Transformative Truth 2: God’s plan is for His servants live among unbelievers, proclaim the gospel to them, so they will repent and believe in Jesus.

Transformative Point 2: Be aware of the broken people around you and share the good news!

To whom should we share?

- Our neighbors! Those who are near!

- Relationally near
- Technologically near
- Seemingly random encounters

What do we share?

- The Good News

Why do we share?

- Because the gospel is the power of God that heals broken sinners!
- God has done so much for us through the gospel, therefore, we have an obligation to share with others.
- Obedience to Christ: sharing is part of the responsibility of His disciples.

What are our goals as we relate to unbelievers?

- They see me as a maturing follower of Jesus.
- They know I love them.
- They know I believe the gospel of God’s work in Jesus.
- They know I want to share it with them.
- I eventually make the ask, “Are you ready to turn from leading your own life and believing in Jesus?”
- I continue to be a spiritual guide for them wherever they are in their journey.
