1. As it relates to your faith, prayerfully attempt to identify your areas of skepticism.
2. Once identified, prayerfully invite Jesus into those areas of skepticism, and live into and recieve Jesus’ words, “Peace be with you!”
1. Given the disciples’ present circumstances, how might Jesus’ words to the disciples in John 20:19 be received? How might those words be received by you today within your own present circumstances?
2. Why do you think Jesus invited Thomas to touch His wounds instead of rebuking him? What does Jesus’ response reveal about his character and attitude toward those who question or struggle to believe? What does this reveal about how Jesus deals with skepticism?
3. If you feel comfortable sharing, what are some of your areas of skepticism?
4. Jesus concludes, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” In what kind of light does this leave Thomas in? How is Jesus’ conclusion hopeful for us, today? If we “haven’t seen” tangibly in today’s world, what is our Christian faith built upon?
