Make an IMPACT

The Bible teaches us that tithing is an act of obedience and that we should trust God with every aspect of our lives, which also includes our finances. Sacrificing a portion of our income helps us look beyond ourselves and makes us more aware of the needs of others. We offer many ways for you to make an IMPACT and give back. Take a look at some of the options below:

Refusing the Noise
Peacemaking isn’t passive. It’s active resistance against division.
Decision #1 - Slow Down Before You React
Notice the order…
• Quick to listen.
• Slow to speak.
• Slow to anger.
Miscommunication
Instead say this…
• What I heard you say was this…
• Then repeat what you think they said.
• Then ask… Did I hear that correctly?
Decision #2 - Refuse the Need to Win
Underneath anger there’s usually something deeper like
• Hurt
• Fear
• Frustration
What’s it worth to win?
Decision #3 - Represent Your Father in the Conflict
“We must not think evil of this man.”
“They will be called the children of God.”
What kind of presence do you bring into conflict?
“Am I adding noise… or bringing peace?”
Action Steps for this Week:

This week, when tension shows up, and it will… practice refusing the noise by intentionally choosing peace in these three ways.

Action Steps:
1. Pause Before You Respond

When a conversation starts to get tense this week, slow the moment down.

Before reacting, ask a simple clarifying question: “What I heard you say was…”

Remember: Peacemakers listen first and seek understanding before responding.

2. Ask Yourself: “Is It Worth It to Win?”

When you feel the urge to prove your point or get the last word, pause and ask: “Is winning this argument worth damaging this relationship?”

Remember: Followers of Jesus value people more than being right.

3. Bring Peace Into One Difficult Moment

Look for one situation this week where you can intentionally reflect the heart of God.

It might mean:
• Choosing gentleness instead of sarcasm
• Offering forgiveness instead of holding a grudge
• Calming a tense conversation instead of escalating it

Ask yourself, “How can I reflect Jesus in this moment?”

Remember: Peacemaking isn’t passive, it’s active resistance against division.
