- Men want to be happy
- God wants them happy too

- The key to being happy for a man is to go from just being a male to God's definition of a man

- You can be a male and NOT act like a man!

- Being male is biological but being man is intentional.

How does a MAN act?

1. Submitted (Jos. 24:15, Acts 20:24)
- A man knows that he is not God and follows Jesus closely.
- A man fully pursues God's calling for his life.

2. Strong (Isa. 53:7, Matt. 26:39)
- A man is saved not soft. He's steel not spineless; He's steadfast not shaky.

3. Secure (Phil. 4:13, Gal. 2:11)
- A man is decisive, assertive, courageous, masculine - not passive -

4. Stands by his standards (Gen. 39:12, Psalm 15:4)
- A man has integrity in every way including keeping his word (he's noble)

5. Self-Control (Prov. 25:28, Mark 1:35)
- A man has discipline, soberness, & stability

6. Sacrificially (Eph. 5:25, John 15:13)
- A man is selfless - he puts others ahead of himself

7. Soft with family (Eph. 5:29, 6:4)
- A man is strong for his family but tender with them

8. Savors life (1 Thes. 5:17, Phil. 4:4)
savor - to fully enjoy and appreciate something good
- A man is thankful, joyful, smiles and enjoys the good God has brought into his life.

You go from male to man intentionally

1. Live in the Scriptures (Psalm 1:2)
2. Avoid fools and foolish thinking (Prov. 13:20)
3. Become a man of prayer (Mark 1:35)
4. Do what you know (James 1:22, 25)
5. Don't do it alone (Prov. 13:20)
