A dysfunctional family is characterized by conflict, misbehavior or abuse. Relationships between family members are tense and can be filled with neglect, yelling and screaming. You might feel forced to happily accept negative treatment.

Can you think of ANY families in the book of Genesis that were NOT dysfunctional?

Abraham’s family was certainly dysfunctional.
And yet without question, God’s favor rests on this family.

What can I do about my own dysfunction?

CONFESS my faults to God.
REPENT of my sins.
HUMBLE MYSELF before God.
