We see here the serpent is asking Eve what God really said. In temptation we can easily try and bend the rules for it to suit our desires.
And then it leaves us with shame and unfulfilled promises.

In our shame it is easy to hide from God don't do what Adam and Eve did god to God and confess your sins ask for forgiveness and repent but don't hide that's what the Devil wants.

Sin will always promise more than delivered.

Often times we try and go our own path but as this verses says it ends in death that is what sin is. Separation from God.
But we have good news.

If you wan to stop sinning call out the lies.
Also stop hiding and start talking. Find accountability.
