A threshing floor is an agricultural term for an elevated, exposed place where harvested grain is crushed and winnowed (sifted) so that what has weight remains and what is empty is carried away. In Scripture, it becomes a covenant site where God tests motives, separates flesh from faith, receives costly worship, and transforms judgment into mercy—ultimately preparing a dwelling place for His glory.
The threshing floor is where costly sacrifice meets Holy Visitation.
Hebrew: גֹּרֶן (gōren) = Threshing floor; a flat, open place where grain is separated from chaff
