The role of risk in faith is a recurring theme throughout the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments.
The Bible presents numerous instances where individuals took risks for the sake of their faith, mission, or calling.

Moses - As described in Exodus 14, confronting Pharaoh and leading the Israelites out of Egypt, required Moses to have great courage and trust in God.
Esther - In the story of Esther, we see how she took a great risk in approaching the King without being summoned, which at that time, could have resulted in her death.
This element of risk is not merely incidental but can, at times, be a fundamental aspect of living a life of faith.
