Give Online

At Lakeshore we believe that giving is our privilege. God invites us into partnership with Himself to see the advancement of his ministry. Every week, we are seeing people healed, set free, and delivered, and this is made possible, in part, because of your generosity. If you feel led to give to this ministry, you may do so at the link below.

ALL IN
"Cultivating Spiritual Health"
Pastor Gil Dirmann
February 15, 2026
Point 1
BE ENCOURAGED -- THE SPIRIT IS WILLING
SPIRIT
pneuma (gk) - used to denote the human spirit - the core of every individual which the Holy Spirit indwells at Salvation, infusing the dynamic power of God to regenerate, empower and seal the life of a believer
WILLING
prothymos (gk) - literally means to be ready and willing. However, by adding the tiny Greek word men (translated indeed) Jesus upgraded the dispositional intensity to describe, “an eager, or fierce willingness.”
Point 2
RESIST CONDEMNATION -- THE FLESH IS WEAK
FLESH
sarx (gk) - refers to both the human body and the human nature, including its moral and physical frailties.
WEAK
asthenes (gk) - literally refers to something that is frail, feeble, puny, or powerless. However, by inserting the tiny Greek adverb de (translated , Jesus signifies that in comparison to the spirit, the flesh is so substandard, second-rate, low-grade and inferior, that it’s almost laughable!
2 INSIGHTS
1. By affirming that “the spirit indeed is willing,” Jesus was assuring His disciples that He knew they really wanted to stay awake and pray.

2. By confirming that they fell asleep because of their flesh was weak, Jesus replaced condemnation with strength – encouraging them IN their struggle, not reprimanding them FOR struggling.
Point 3
ENGAGE THE BATTLE -- WATCH AND PRAY
WATCH
gregoreo (gk) - denotes the watchful attitude of one who is on the lookout to make certain no enemy or aggressor can successfully gain entry into his life or place of residence.
3 Important Insights
1. We should watch for those temptations that upull on our flesh
2. We should watch for the “way out” that God always provides
3. God will not allow any difficulty to come our way that we can’t handle through the power of Christ.
PRAYER
proseuchomai (gk) - literally pictures someone bowing down and prostrating themself before a king. Here, proseuchomai metaphorically represents the act of drawing near to God in intimate communication to passionately share your heart concerning a circumstance or need, and understand His will, in order to receive from His goodness.
