Live It Out:
What does it mean to have courageous faith? It is:
1. Formed by God’s Promises. Do you trust or doubt God’s promises in the Word? Is your faith being formed by faith in God or fear in your circumstances?
2. Fueled by God’s Word. Are you fueling your heart daily with God’s Word? Meditating on it?
3. Fanned by God’s Presence. Do you trust that God’s presence is with you and for you as a follower of Jesus? He hasn’t left or abandoned you!
Knowing these ways to develop courageous faith, what step of courage is God calling you to take in your life? Courage to obey God in the present is fueled by reflecting on what He’s done in the past through Jesus Christ. Reflect on what God has done in your own life that provided you with courageous faith. Then, reflect on ways in which you can be more obedient to Him as He prepares you for the future.
