Communion
Chapel Rock practices an 'open communion' meaning that if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are welcome to participate in the communion service. The elder/staff member giving the devotion will provide instructions.
Your pace decides what you notice. If you walk fast, you can “get there quick”… and miss the very person Jesus put right in your path.
Walk slow enough to see divine appointments & holy interruptions AS Jesus’ task for you.
SEE THE REAL TASK
Here’s the disciples’ failure: They think the destination is the task. They think the healing is the task. Jesus wants to show them: the people are the task.
Once we begin to see that relationships ARE the job description, that will help us with the next step.
REFRAME THE INTERRUPTION
If you always speed up to get to the “real ministry,” you will miss Jesus’ ministry.
Divine appointments and holy interruptions are not an obstacle to the task. The interruption is the task. See, when you let Jesus reframe your interruptions, you’ll move naturally to the third step.
LET LOVE SLOW YOU DOWN
Walking slow isn’t inefficiency. It’s love expressed as obedience.
Love takes time. And the reason so many of us are missing divine appointments… is not because God is silent. It’s because we’re sprinting.

How do you slow down? Let me give you three simple practices.
1) Build in margin on purpose.
2) In the moment, ask one question: When you’re interrupted, ask “Who is Jesus putting in front of me right now?” People are never interruptions to Jesus. People are the assignment.
3) Stay long enough to make it personal
Walk slow enough to see divine appointments & holy interruptions AS Jesus’ task for you.
VISION COMMITMENT
We BRING our brokenness to Jesus because a CHANGE to wholeness is the story we SHARE.
