Are you living in the fullness of God's Grace?

Introduction

John 1:14-17

1. A theological lesson on God’s great salvation in relation to God’s amazing grace.

A. Justification is to be made right with God. Romans 3:9-12, 23, 24; Romans 6:23

B. Sanctification is to be made more like Jesus. 1 Corinthians 15:9-10

C. Glorification is to be with Jesus forever – eternal life. John 3:16

2. A definition of Grace.

A. Part one – God’s unconditional, love, and favor to an undeserving sinner. This love and favor is based completely on the generosity of the giver – God… Ephesians 2:1-3, 4-7; Psalm 103:8-13

B. Part two – It is extended to struggling Christians on a daily basis because God desires are to use undeserving people for his eternal purposes.

1. John 4 – The Samaritan Woman.

3. Expectations of Grace.

A. You will begin to live more confidently in God’s love. Ephesians 1:3-8

B. You will live a more grateful life – more thankful for the gifts of God. James 1:16-18; Colossians 3:15-17; Hebrews 13:15-16

C. By God‘s grace, you will believe that God has great plans for your life. Ephesians 2:8-10

Family Promise Dinner - February 9

On Monday, February 9th, Hillside will be providing dinner to families experiencing homelessness and sheltering with Family Promise. If you would like to provide some of the food, or you are interested in serving and eating with the families, please contact Jennifer Wilson at jjwilson1to6@msn.com.

Missional Morning - February 22

Missional Mornings are back after the holidays! Join us February 22nd, 8:15 am, for a meaningful time of fellowship as we gather to hear what’s happening both around the world and right here in our local community.

July Nicaragua Trip Information Meeting - February 22nd

After the service on February 22, we’ll be hosting an informational meeting about the July multigenerational trip to Nicaragua. If you’re interested in going, please plan to attend. We hope to see you there!

Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry is encouraging the women of the church to read the Bible, just a chapter a day, and join the TableTop gathering for discussion the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.

The women's Saturday morning Bible study meets every other week at 9:00am at the church. For more information about the group, contact Andrea Flack or Jane Banzhaf.

Men's Ministry
We have a men’s gathering on the third Thursday of every month. These gatherings provide great opportunities to grow in our relationships as men encourage each other in our walks with the Lord. Also, we have a men's prayer morning at 6:00am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. For more information about Men's Ministry, contact Elliot Makuh.

Young Adults
The Young Adults group meets at 8:45am on Sunday morning at the church. For more information about the group, contact Daniel Ayers.

Youth Group
Youth Group meets Sunday mornings during the service on all but the first Sunday of the month. The group also meets Sunday afternoons at 4:00pm. For more information about the group, contact Val Semich.

Children's Ministry
We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with our Children's Ministry. If you are interested in helping out please contact Angela or Tom Wheaton.

Kids Camp
Early Kids Camp/VBS registration for summer 2026 will be available to Hillside, Faith Lutheran, and Calvary! We anticipate an announcement email in March. Dates for camp are Monday, July 13th–Thursday, July 16th 8:45am–12:00pm (Note the days and time change in our schedule!).

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers offer one-to-one, Christ-centered, emotional and spiritual care for people in the congregation going through difficult times such as job loss, financial struggles, medical issues, or death of a loved one. Please contact Kristi Bowen if you are interested in meeting with a Stephen Minister.

Care Team Ministry
The Care Team Ministry provides transportation for those in need in our Hillside Family.

Prayer Ministry
The Prayer Team hosts a monthly prayer night on the third Monday of the month at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome! You can also receive prayer in person from 9:30-10:00am Sunday mornings in the cry room adjacent to the church lobby.

Meals Ministry
The Meals Ministry is a practical way to meet the needs of others in the congregation who are welcoming a new baby or experiencing challenging circumstances.

Golden MomCo (formerly MOPS)
MomCo meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at First Baptist Church in Golden. For more information about the group email goldenmomco@gmailcom.
