Give Online

The Bible teaches us to give the first 10% of our income to the "storehouse." God says we can test Him by doing this and watching Him take care of us in return. This may sound like a stretch to you! Just take a step toward toward that goal. If you currently give nothing, start giving something. If you give something, try increasing it a step toward the 10% goal. Trust God! Give Him your first before anything else by setting up a recurring, automated donation online. You will then receive quarterly updates about how your giving is making a difference and how your donations are being used.

Bottom Line: I can't really live BEING a Christian and be disconnected from the church - the body of Christ.
1. Church is not about me.
2. Gathering for worship is important - a top priority!
3. Urgency isn't decreasing but increasing.
START TALKING:

What is an example you've seen of someone having a title but not actually living up to that title or doing what the title suggests is required?

Without doing what the title requires, were they (or you) really BEING the title? Why or why not?
START THINKING:

Read Hebrews 10:19-25. What are the three "let us" phrases you see in this passage?

What is the progression or growth you see happen when you go from one "let us" to the next "let us" phrase?

These three statements could say, "Each of you should..." but instead they each say, "let us." What is the significance of the writer using the plural "us" instead of a singular directive "you"?
START SHARING:

Read Ephesians 5:25. Who does this say that Christ died for or sacrificed for? Yet again we see a plural word, not singular. How has your church experience over your life displayed elements of a culture that salvation or church life is all about the individual's experience and comfort rather than about the body collectively?

What changes in the way we view salvation and the body of Christ when we embrace this truth that Christ died for the "ekklesia" rather than "Christ died just for me"?

How have you matured in your faith - or how do you need to mature in your faith - so that you go from the "baby" that only wants to be fed to the adult that helps take care of the family?

Read Acts 2:46. What was the culture or spiritual discipline of this early church in terms of how often they gathered and how much of a priority it was for them? Is this similar or different than your own experience? Why do you think that is the case?

What most often competes for your prioritization when it comes to gathering with your church family for worship and church life? How has this topic helped you to rethink the myth, "I don't have to go to church to be a Christian"?
START DOING:

What can you do this week and beyond to make life in the church a top priority? What can you do to prioritize gathering for worship?

What steps can you take to help take care of your family and mature in your faith rather than simply coming to be fed and served?

How does your experience in the life of a church community impact the story you can share with others about your own faith journey?
START PRAYING:

Pray for each person in the micro church to continue growing in their faith by not doing life alone and by prioritizing the spiritual discipline of gathering for worship and church community. Pray for our church family to be protected, unified, and emboldened to live on mission and impact our city and the world for Jesus!

Take a Next Step!

Don't just attend church for an hour a week. Take a step! What step should you take?
1. Follow Jesus! If you have followed Jesus...
2. Get baptized! If you are following Jesus, then that's all you need to be "ready" to take this step.
3. Volunteer! Don't simply be a consumer, but be part of making a difference in the lives of those who come to OneLife to experience Jesus. There are weekday and Sunday opportunities. Get info about what opportunities there are for you!
4. Join a micro church! You can't have true community sitting in rows with a large crowd. That's not the church - it's an event! Micro churches are small "churches" of 10-12 adults that meet in homes throughout the week to learn together, pray together, serve the community together, and care for each other together.
