Questions to keep the conversation going
· Spend some time sharing about your past week.

· When you hear kingdom of God what images or ideas come to your mind? How would you explain it to someone else?
· Read Matthew 13:31-35 & Matthew 13:44-46
· Both parables emphasize small beginnings leading to large results. What does this tell us about how God’s kingdom works?
· The mustard seed was a tiny seed yet grew into a large plant. What encouragement might this have given Jesus’ listeners?
· The birds finding shelter in the branches suggests that the kingdom provides welcome and refuge. How does this shape our understanding of what the church should be?
· The yeast starts small but works its way through the full dough. In what ways have you experienced the kingdom quietly transforming your heart or thinking over time?
· Both the merchant and the man with the field sold everything to obtain the pearl and treasure. What does this about the value of the kingdom of God? Why wasn’t this a burden for them?
· Have you ever had a moment when you suddenly realized how valuable the knowing God is? What was that like?
· On a scale of 1-10 how much does your life reflect that you’ve found something of ultimate worth in God’s kingdom?
· These parables remind us that small beginnings can lead to huge changes over time. What small changes have/will you make to move toward the “Simple” life.

· Spend some time praying for one another.
