Missionary of the Month: Dr. Michael and Mamy Butati

Praise

1. We thank God for His protection, assistance, and grace. God is with our daughters in school, and they are doing well.

2. We thank you for the protection of our families in Congo despite the problems of war.

3. We are overjoyed by what God has done for the Baptist Hospital. We had experienced a problem with our autoclave, and God intervened through benefactors, and we received a new one.

4. A cause for gratitude is seeing how God has blessed our hospital through spiritual ministry.

5. Our joy is immense in having participated in the Lord’s work in spiritual ministry, because this year, 2025, here at the Baptist Hospital, 15,170 people received the Gospel and there were 96 converts. Glory and glory be to our God!


Prayer requests:

1. Pray for our daughter Roseline, who is taking her baccalaureate exam, that God may assist her in her preparations. Also, pray that God will help us find a country where she can continue her university studies.

2. Pray for our family so that this year (2026) we can visit our relatives in Congo. Pray for peace in CONGO DRC.

3. Pray for the future of our Baptist Hospital, for all the workers, for the needs of professionals (Surgeon, Gynecologist, Pediatrician, etc.) even if it is for short term.

4. Also pray for the Gospel that will be preached this year 2026, so that more people will accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

5. Pray for the finances.

6. Pray for the Peace in Ivory Coast.

Women’s Bible Study

A new 8-week Bible study entitled “Angels Finding Hope in God Who Reigns over Heaven and Earth” starts Thursday, January 22nd at 6:45pm. The cost for the book is $22. The book includes a link to view the videos, if you miss a class. You can sign up in the lobby or see Carol Bevard for more information.

All Church Potluck

Join us for a joyful time of fellowship and delicious food at our upcoming All Church Potluck! Sunday, January 25th following the morning service. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share according to the first letter of your last name: Main Dish (A-J), Side Dish (K-R no salads, please) and Dessert (S-Z). This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow members, share a meal and enjoy each other’s company.

Join us for and exciting outing! We’re thrilled to invite you to our upcoming event on Friday, January 30th! Come along as we head to the Henry Ford Imax to enjoy the captivating film, “Detroit: The City of Hot Rods & Muscle Cars.” The van will be leaving the church promptly at 12:30pm. The total cost is $8 per person plus an additional $1 for the van ride. Dinner will be at your expense at Rex’s Golden Grill after the movie. Please register and pay in the lobby no later than January 25th.

Operation Christmas Child

Help bring joy to children in need! During the months of January and February we are collecting clothing & accessories, also the Shipping Fee (in the pre-marked envelopes) for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Please check our tripods in the lobby. Your prayers and participation will make a lasting impact.

The Way of the Master

The Way of the Master Basic Training class begins Wednesday, Jan. 28th at 6:45 p.m. The class meets in room 306. If you have not taken the class, please consider taking it now. We are equipping the entire church to share the gospel Biblically and effectively the way Jesus did. Sign up today in the lobby.

Ladies Missionary Fellowship

The Ladies Missionary Fellowship has prepared kits for sewing newborn baby jackets and receiving blankets to be shipped this February to the Baptist Hospital in Ferke, Ivory Coast. If you are interested in fulfilling this need, please stop by our display table in the lobby. Due Date: February 22nd, 2026.
